The Big Ball Game (TBBG) Terms & Conditions

1. Nature of the Game

The Big Ball Game (TBBG) is a free-to-play football prediction game. No payment or subscription is required to participate in the main competition or submit predictions.

Players do not stake or wager money on their predictions.

TBBG may offer prizes or rewards in connection with its competitions. Any prizes are provided by the organiser and do not require players to pay an entry fee or purchase a subscription in order to be eligible.

Details of any prizes, including their value, distribution and eligibility requirements, will be communicated to players separately.

2. Prizes & Rewards

TBBG may offer prizes or rewards in connection with a competition or season.

Where prizes are offered, TBBG will communicate the applicable prize details, including the prize value or amount, how prizes will be allocated and any eligibility requirements.

No entry fee or Pro subscription is required in order to be eligible for prizes in the main competition.

Prizes offered for the main competition are provided by the organiser and are not funded by a mandatory player entry fee.

TBBG may need to change or substitute a prize where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside the organiser's control. Where this happens, affected players will be informed and any replacement prize will, where reasonably possible, be of equivalent value.

3. Eligibility

Participation in TBBG is available to registered players accepted by the organiser.

Players must comply with these Terms & Conditions and the applicable Game Rules.

TBBG may apply additional eligibility requirements to particular competitions, prizes or features. Where additional requirements apply, they will be communicated to players before participation in the relevant competition, prize or feature.

4. Fair Play

Players must participate fairly and must not deliberately manipulate predictions, exploit bugs or technical errors, impersonate another player, interfere with another player's account, or otherwise attempt to gain an unfair advantage.

Where the organiser reasonably believes that a player has breached these Fair Play rules, appropriate action may be taken depending on the circumstances. This may include correcting affected points, issuing a warning or disciplinary card, applying a points deduction, or disqualifying the player in serious cases.

Players who believe a Fair Play decision or points calculation has been made incorrectly may contact the organiser and ask for the matter to be reviewed.

5. Pro Membership

TBBG may offer an optional Pro membership which provides access to additional features within the app.

A Pro membership is not required to participate in the main TBBG competition or to be eligible for prizes offered in the main competition.

The features included with Pro, together with any applicable price, billing period and other relevant subscription information, will be clearly displayed before a player purchases a Pro membership.

Some Pro features may affect how a player interacts with particular game features or Bonus Rounds. Any applicable rules will be explained before the relevant feature or Bonus Round is used.

Changes to Pro membership will not retrospectively alter points already awarded or completed Game Weeks.

6. Changes to These Terms

TBBG may update these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary, for example to reflect changes to the game, its features, applicable rules or legal requirements.

Where a change materially affects players' rights, eligibility, scoring or participation in the competition, players will be given reasonable notice before the change takes effect where practicable.

Changes will not normally be applied retrospectively to completed GameWeeks, points already awarded or prizes already won.

The latest version of these Terms & Conditions, including the date they were last updated, will be made available within the TBBG app.

7. Game Rules & Scoring

TBBG's scoring system, Duplicate Rule, Bonus Points, Bonus Rounds, league rankings and other game mechanics are set out in the Game Rules & Mechanics available within the TBBG app.

Players are expected to follow the Game Rules applicable to the competition in which they participate.

Where TBBG introduces or changes a scoring mechanic, Bonus Round or other game feature, the applicable rules will be communicated to players before that change takes effect.

Changes will not normally be applied retrospectively to completed GameWeeks or points already awarded.

8. Accounts & Player Responsibilities

Players are responsible for providing accurate information when creating and using their TBBG account and for keeping their account access secure.

Players must not use another player's account, allow another person to submit predictions on their behalf in order to gain an unfair advantage, or deliberately interfere with another player's account.

If a player believes their account has been accessed without permission or identifies a problem affecting their account, they should contact the organiser as soon as reasonably possible.

Players are responsible for submitting their predictions before the applicable deadline. Technical problems outside TBBG's reasonable control do not automatically entitle a player to submit or change a prediction after the deadline, although genuine technical issues may be reviewed by the organiser.

9. Suspension & Removal

TBBG may suspend or remove a player's account where there is a reasonable reason to do so, including serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, the Game Rules or Fair Play requirements.

Where appropriate, the organiser may first issue a warning, disciplinary card or points deduction rather than suspend or remove the player.

Where reasonably practicable, the player will be told why action has been taken and may contact the organiser if they believe a mistake has been made.

TBBG may take immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect the game, other players or the security of the app.

10. App Availability & Technical Problems

TBBG aims to keep the app and its features available and operating correctly, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.

The app may occasionally be unavailable or affected by maintenance, updates, technical problems or circumstances outside TBBG's reasonable control.

Where a technical problem materially affects a GameWeek, prediction deadline, scoring or other competition feature, the organiser may take reasonable steps to resolve the issue and operate the game fairly. This may include correcting an error or, where necessary, adjusting or cancelling an affected game feature or GameWeek.

Any decision will take account of the circumstances and the fair treatment of affected players.

TBBG will consider complaints and queries reasonably and will aim to respond within a reasonable period.

12. Privacy

TBBG processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which explains what information is collected, why it is used, how it is handled and the rights available to users.

The current Privacy Policy is available within the TBBG app.

13. TBBG Content & Intellectual Property

The TBBG name, branding, graphics, written content, game materials and other original content made available through the app belong to TBBG or are used with appropriate permission.

Players may use the app and its content for their own personal participation in TBBG.

TBBG content must not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any responsibility that TBBG cannot lawfully exclude or limit.

TBBG is provided primarily as a free-to-play football prediction game for entertainment. While reasonable efforts are made to operate the game accurately and fairly, TBBG cannot guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors.

TBBG will not be responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Where a technical, scoring or administrative error occurs, TBBG will take reasonable steps to correct the issue and, where appropriate, restore the fair operation of the competition.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights or protections available to a player under the laws that apply to them. Players may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
